HOLMDEL, NJ – While most charity children’s zoos can include goats, horses, sheep, and other typical farm animals, this local biker club has gone to the trouble of bringing a wolfdog to Holmdel. .
At a Bike Night fundraiser event on June 23 at the Texas Roadhouse of Holmdel hosted by the New Jersey Knights of the Inferno, Jackson-based Howling Woods Farm brought in a few of their gentle wolves trained for the local participants meet the creatures.
Other features of the event – which raised funds for EMS and military personnel and families in distress – included the Cigar Box Stompers, which used guitars made from license plates, cigar boxes, gasoline cans, shovels and more. The local chapter of the Elks Club exhibited a new Harley Davidson motorcycle that they are currently raffling off for a children’s charity.
The New Jersey Knights of the Inferno is a non-profit military firefighter / motorcycle club that aims to build a community of retired and active firefighters, emergency medical services, an emergency management office, members of the military service, their families and some civilians who enjoy riding motorcycles. The club regularly holds bicycle charity nights on the fourth Wednesday of each April through August from 7 to 10 p.m., always featuring alfresco dining and drinks, live music, and vendors.
